\n\t\t\t\tThe Department is one of the first four (4) Departments established in the polytechnic, in 1978. Its first set of Diplomats was admitted in 1978, and graduated in 1980. Its higher National diploma (HND) students were first admitted in 1980 and graduated in 1982.\nThe Department was initially known as Agricultural Mechanisation Department. Later, it was amalgamated with Irrigation Engineering Department to form what was simply known as the Department of Agricultural Engineering in 2008. Then, in November, 2014 the name was also changed to the Department of Agricultural and Bioenvironmental Engineering Technology Department in order to conform to NBTE nomenclature. The Department has got NBTE approval in 2019 to commence National Diploma in Agricultural Technology programme.\nThe Department is renowned for its high standard and calibre of trained diligent staff with varying ranges of experiences. Presently, the Department can boast of over thirty (30) academic staff. \nThe Department has been training, teaching and carrying out research works for over four (4) decades. The level of courses offered by the Department is both at National and Higher National Diplomas in Agricultural and Bioenvironmental Engineering, presently, with options in Farm Power and Machinery and Soil and Water Engineering at Higher National Diploma. The performance of our diplomats has always been commendable.\nThe Department currently has full accreditation in all the programmes and has won 1st position at the 2nd National Education Innovations Exhibition (NEIE) held in November, 2013 at Abuja.\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
